Should be pay off the Clinton campaign debt? |
|
Edited on Wed Jun-04-08 06:54 AM by mdmc
She ran this fine machine right in to the ground and then ran up an enourmous debt. Should we, as Democrats, pay this off for her or should she pay it off herself?

We need someone that has flown below the Republican radar--make them start from scratch when doing research and making up lies about a candidate.

As a former Edwards supporter, I have moved on. It's time to unite behind our nominee-in-waiting and spark a Democratic victory on November 4th!

She spent that money attacking the obvious Democratic nominee. This would set a bad, bad precedent.

|
I say No!
I am one of the 'grassroot' folks- one of those that sent in what I could in $5 increments. My hard earned money was not donated to pay off the spiteful, non gracious, petulant fiasco of a campaign such as Senator Clinton has run.

if the call for individual donations and fundraising comes.

12. I feel no obligation to pay her debt. She wasted 10s of millions on Mark Penn |
|
who gave her a failed strategy and she refused to fire him.
She showed poor judgement and poorly ran her campaign.
She has plenty of money to pay off her own campaign debt. Our money should be focused on winning in November.

16. Oh, I'm soooo with you on that score |
|
just noting that while FEC won't allow it, he could (hopefully won't) ask supporters to work to help her reduce her debt.

11. Her supporters should pay it off. |
|
I wonder if they realize the debt of her campaign. I was reading her blog and some people were donating and saying that she wants them to donate so she can continue on to Denver or whatever.
If she really has all those supporters and votes, then she should have no problem raising the same amount of money that Obama has raised and continues to raise.

Not one fucking cent. If we wind up paying for her mismanagement and Egomaniac Mystery Tour, I'll be donating a whole lot less in the future, and then only to specific candidates.

One does not help someone suffering from delusions and possibly a dangerous addiction by paying them to not face the realities their delusion and/or addiction create.
She and her top advisers made the dept, good sense and campaign law says they have to be the ones to pay the debt.

If she dropped out a couple of weeks ago when it looked like Obama was going to take it instead of dragging this out then yes, help her. But she waited until the race was over and has lost her barganing chip.
