WAIT A MINUTE! don't let this fact escape you about Obama's victory: |
|
his victory represents a resounding PROOF that grass roots, 50 state strategy can WIN over DLC fatcat corporation funding.
Regardless of how you feel about him, take a look at the winning strategy:
an ever-replenishing flow of new dollars all throughout the campaign, vs. a one time only frontloading fund.
a campaign that's respectful and not slashingly negative WON.
a grass roots campaign HAS TO continually listen to and ADJUST to those grass roots -- a fatcat corporate funded campaign NEVER has to listen to grass roots.
just think about this for a minute.
this is actually a VICTORY OF DEMOCRACY

1. I NEVER stop thinking about it, it's nothing less than a complete repudiation of the DLC/Clinton |
|
top-down centralized media controlling campaign style. Good riddance to bad rubbish. Let the fucking Republicans campaign like that, THEY have no other choice. The Democrats do.

I'm thrilled to see such a positive, grass roots campaign succeed.

5. Don't forget a candidate who goofs and says I'm wrong |
|
He has been gracious when he is winning, deferential when he is maligned, and self deprecating when he could lord it over HRC.
The man may actually have a humble bone in his ambitious agenda for America. That is change I can believe in.

6. So much dirt on the Clintons |
|
So many things far more substantive than the whole Rev. Wright thing, but the Obama campaign used none of it.

7. The people who think there is a "cult" of Obama fail miserably to realize... |
|
that the VAST majority of Obama voters are voting AGAINST the status quo in Washington, from BOTH sides of the aisle.
I voted AGAINST the DLC, AGAINST the Iraq Invasion and continued occupation, and AGAINST corporate money and the war machine.
That Senator Obama has proven UNOBJECTIONABLE to me over time is a BONUS.
With the power of the people behind him, I hope he will come through for us.
Sink the DLC!!

efficient cost & time saving way. ie. only run in the bare minimum states needed to win.
The fact that democrats lose is just a bonus for the corporations.
Thats the change they are against.

9. It's victory over the media as well |
|
who did their very best to deliver for Hillary with Rev. Wright 24/7 coverage.
My God! Are we finally NOT the hypnotized, lobotomized rabble? One great moment was when there was universal revulsion about the Stephanopoulis/Gibson travesty/debate with its sham focus on flag pins and Wright.

11. To me, this is the most important aspect of this victory. |
|
It validates the 50 state strategy and empowers grassroots voters. This has become less about the man than the movement which is behind him. A pretty solid victory too, considering Republican interference in our primary and the fact that Obama has been in general election mode for several weeks.
