Since we know the Democratic nominee; It is Time...
It is time to talk about Obama's Republican opponent. It is time to talk about our strategy for the General Election. It is time to focus on what Democrats controlling all three branches of government can mean for America. It is time to talk about all the positive changes Democrats will bring to America. And it is time to talk about what would happen to America if John McCain somehow parlays his old "tried and true" shtick into a 4 year lease on the White House.

It is time to phase out talking about the Democratic primaries. And it is past time for us to cease fighting the Democratic primaries. To those who keep saying that Hillary Clinton is having trouble letting go, I say that we are having trouble letting go if we continue to fixate on that. At least Hillary has a good excuse. She has been totally consumed in her Presidential quest, same as Obama has been in his. She has a huge personal adjustment to make, beyond the ability of even her strongest supporters to fully fathom. For those who ask her to make that adjustment as soon as is humanly possible, why not help here by behaving like the primaries are over? John McCain is our opponent now.

2. That's a good one.
And we can start sharpening up all of our bookmarked talking points about exactly how John McCain would make such a poor President for America and the world. I think we kind of take that a little too much for granted around here too much of the time. We got the pro and anti Obama, and the pro and anti Clinton talking points down to a true art form over the course of our internal debates, but now we will be squaring off against Republicans for the loyalty of swing voters who do not accept it as a given that electing John McCain President will be a disaster for America.

3. If you have to
make up your own talking points about McCain. How bout this one. He spilled his guts when the NVA tickled him. That'll do.

4. With all due respect
I don't think so. But there is plenty for us to work with whether we agree on that one or not.

7. LOL, I really should have known. But I thought of the swiftboating too
when you wrote that, and those purple heart band aids given out at the G.O.P. convention.

9. I can think of some possibilities beyond Joe Lieberman
who of course we know will speak for McCain, but I don't even want to mention names, like Ed Koch lol. I really hope this doesn't go there. We already have one identified traitor.

6. I donated last night right after I listened to Obama's speech. On top of
that, I've been at his website updating what I can do here in Texas. Yes, I'm very ready to get started with the GE. McCain's speech should be a wake-up call (although he does put me to sleep) that he's gearing up for a fight. The republicans know that Obama is a strong candidate and they are worried. They will pull out all the stops to beat him in order to prop up McCain in the WH. We have to start today being aware and diligent in their attacks.

I'm ready to go:patriot:
