I believe that Hillary Supporters
have supported their candidate for the same reasons we support the Democratic Nominee. We are all working to right wrongs, overcome barriers and build a better America and a better future for our children.

Despite the loudest voices and the most heated discussions, the majority of supporters of both candidates were not motivated to get involved in this process out of hatred or to tear the other candidate or their supporters down. We have enthusiastically supported our candidates for positive reasons to benefit all Americans.

Over this long process, a vocal minority of supporters of both candidates who seem to relish heated conflict have dragged each other into down in an endless, self-perpetuating cycle of finger-pointing, accusations and counter-accusations. This passionate struggle has pulled many away from the core reasons we supported our candidates in the first place.

We have much more in common than many would believe after reading this forum for the past few months. We all supported our candidates for the right reasons and with positive intentions.

Some say, "forgive, but don't forget." I think we can remember and learn, turning a negative into a positive, without letting the past hold us back. We all grow and change. We all make mistakes and have regrets.

I only hope that most of us can think back and remember why we are all here in the first place. What do we want to accomplish and how can we best move forward towards those goals?

Our nominee is not the Party. WE are the party and we are AMERICA. ALL OF US. The nominee is our standard-bearer, but this is still our fight and our responsibility to work towards progress on the issues that are important for all of us. We need to remain strong and vigilant throughout the campaign on a national and local level and even more so after our new President is in office.

Now those are the words of a real Democrat, one that I can look towards with respect and admiration.
