Some Random Musings
1) I watched John McSame's speech last night...He is a awful public speaker...He makes Bush* look like John Kennedy, Franklin Roosevelt, or Abraham Lincoln...His sneer which masquerades as a laugh does not come off well...He also looks old...I remember the Reagan-Carter election like it was yesterday and whatever one can say about Reagan he came off as robust and energetic...McSame just looks frail and enervated...

2) I respect McSame's military service...I consider myself a tough cookie but if the VC were beating me up every day and not setting my broken arms I would have said anything they asked me to do to make them stop...I wouldn't have endured years of it before finally breaking...More like days...

3) I will support Senator Obama because is a Democrat...I will always rememember the Clintons fondly because Bill was the only person I ever voted for president that actually (won)...That reminds me of something...There's some talk here that if you vote for a loser you are a loser...If that's the case I must be the biggest loser in the world...I voted for Carter, Mondale, Dukakis, Gore*, and Kerry and am a Democrat in a Florida county that hasn't elected a Democrat to any office in nearly forty years...

4) This should be an intersting election...Every available metric favor the Democrat and McSame is one of the most charismatically challenged candidates in recent history while Obama is one of the most charismatic candidates in recent history...

*Gore won

1. Uh, Carter won in 1976.
Just not in 1980 (when you presumably voted for him).

My first vote was in 78 when I voted for Bob Graham for governor...
