Uh-oh.. Lou Dobbs just ran a poll saying 66% of his viewers say Hillary should run as independent. |
|
Ouch. Double ouch. If you think it's bad here now for Hillary supporters... phew... the bloodshed would be unreal.:hide:

4. Puerto Rico doesn't vote in the General Election so 150,000 votes gained there doesn't matter in the GE 5. I'm still seeing 0 votes from Harlem. I guess votes must count unless its in a heavy African American district?
Anything else?

Even after they have won. I guess they feel they have to keep the lie up. Hillary got 18,046,000 votes. Obama got 17,870,000 counting the caucus states. You lost the popular vote. Deal with it.

Using your hill numbers, obama's numbers puts him ahead in the popular. Obama 18,107,710 (48.1%) Clinton 18,046,007 (47.9%) == Obama +61,703 +0.2% http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/2008/president/democratic_vote_count.html

Sorry. But thanks for playing. The total popular vote in the primary season means even less than it does in the GE. In the GE, what matters is who wins states with the most electoral votes. You could win the national popular vote in a walk and still lose the election by a sizable margin if you pile up big wins in states with relatively few electoral college votes and narrow losses in states with a lot of electoral votes. With specific reference to the claim that HRC's popular vote total is significant, first, it ignores several caucus states and the tainted results in Michigan and Florida which in no sense can be viewed as accurately reflecting the actual level of popular support for Obama in those states. Moreover, a big win in Puerto Rico is nice, but as for it having any signficance insofar as for the GE, well, it doesn't have any. Puerto Rico doesn't participate in the GE.
In other words, its a false metric. If you can relate it to anything meaningful, please do.

Senator Clinton will not run independent. And even if she ever did, the rules at DU would not allow people to support her, so there would be nothing over which to shed blood.

|
Carlos Mencia on Comedy Central had a great parody of Lou Dobb's view of the world. They had an illegal Mexican with ammo belts strung over his shoulders shooting into the air, having the government pay for plastic surgery to turn his family into gringos, and collecting government checks.
Then Mencia mentioned that the illegals he knows actually stay as far away from government buildings as possible.
