This primary has been one of the most exciting political contests I've seen in my 55 years, if not THE most exciting. It's been quite an education.

While this primary has been happening I've been reading Naomi Klein (a Canadian Yay!!) and listening to Rachel Maddow (my heartthrob), and in general seeing the blossoming of a movement spanning generations. In a way it isn't surprising that a candidate like Barack Obama rose to lead the Dem party in the US. How fitting that Obama's opponent is John McCain.

My prayers are with the Dems in this coming election
