Will Hillary clean up her McCain advocacy blog after tomorrow? |
|
Edited on Fri Jun-06-08 10:46 PM by cottonseed
Hillary is a major Democratic figure. Her Web site at hillaryclinton.com and blog at blog.hillaryclinton.com is visited hundreds of thousands of people the world over. I understand there needs to be a mourning period, and some time for her most dedicated members to work things out online, but after tomorrow, after conceding/suspending and pledging to work for the Democratic party this election, she needs to begin moderating (read: cleaning up) her blog's comments sections.
The advocacy for writing in Hillary, voting McCain, and changing party affiliation is not helpful to say the least. Let's please go out and kick McCain's ass this election.

1. I am sure there will be a grand PURGE. |

Because Obama never-ever had any unscrupulous things on his fan-blog.
Never-ever, I tell ya.

2. I just don't think it's an Obama/Hillary thing any longer. |

I don't have any animosity towards her or her campaign. I just think it makes good policy that the Web site of a major Democratic figure should take into consideration the audience and the party goals when reviewing/approving user comments advocating for McCain. I'd ask the same of Obama's public and heavily traffic Web site.

It's just that, when it comes to Rove-like politics...well, let's just say that's a contest Hillary DID win. Problem is, that's not the kind of contest Democrats should be trying to win.

4. But the primaries are over, now. It's time to get real. |
