Do you think Pat Buchanan Likes Sitting between Two Black People? |
|
Sometimes I wonder if the producers do that to him on purpose!
I must admit for a conservative, his opinion is necessary to round off MSNBC's coverage. I think he is much better and more fair (with a conservative viewpoint) than Joe Scarborough. When it comes to Scarborough, I actually think Morning Joe is better without him.
I hope his family is safe and healthy. But I was disappointed to see him back on his show.

Just to induce Pat Buchanan and Geraldine Ferraro into seizures. ;-)
And then, he should name Snoop "Secretary of Agricizzle!"

Why is that?
Why do we need a bigot's opinion to round things off. Round them off to where, exactly?

He's ignorant, he's biased, he's mostly pathetic.And she's supposed to pretend he's a fellow expert?
I'm sure she's torn between laughing at him and slapping him upside the head. In fact I've caught her laughing at him. I imagine assault laws being what they are, she'll carefully avoid slapping him upside the head, but the thought must cross her mind.

But while he's spewing his racist bile, I hope he's as uncomfortable as possible.
I've never seen him as uncomfortable as he was the day he appeared with Joe Madison around the time Obama delivered his speech on race.

20. When it comes to Pat Buchanan... |
|
his thoughts on race are always the first thing to come to mind. Even when the topic he is discussing is non-related.
I can remember a Republican Presidential debate when even Alan Keys said...
" I am a conservative very much like Pat... the difference is my conservatism is for everyone, and Pat's is only for people who look just like him!"

And that's part of the problem. I think there are too many people who see this as a big game to be won. It's part of the reason I'm fascinated by politics. But at the end of the day, real people get hurt and swept aside by this game. People die over these games. :(

23. Buchanan doesn't mind at all. |
|
That's the thing here: racist types like Pat Buchanan don't mind sitting next to black folks, shaking hands with black folks, even talking to black folks, as long as it's IN PUBLIC. It's what they say when the cameras aren't rolling and when they know they're around likeminded people that is the real test of their character.

but sometimes when you are a moderator, you don't get a chance to have your own "take" on the situation.
Having said this, I still think MSNBC has a place for one more show in their weekday lineup. And that show belongs to Rachel Maddow.

People like Lou Dibs and Pat Buchanan are dying breeds! Their political philosophy of hate is what we are fighting against.
You and I both know that if "Swedes" were coming over the border, we wouldn't have the book called "Death of the West" (Buchanan) or an entire one-hour show (Dibs) dedicated to the topic every night.
