3. I love him, but he looks like such a dork on that bike.
I think it's because he's wearing jeans. A pair of long, loose-fitting shorts would have suited him better.

5. Obama Staffers Begin Appearing in Virginia
"We have never seen this kind of political activity in a general election cycle in Virginia, ever," Surovell said.

Obama Staffers Begin Appearing in Virginia
By TimCraig | June 8, 2008

Paid staffers for Illinois Sen. Barack Obama, the presumptive Democratic nominee for president, have begun filtering into Virginia, according to Democratic officials.

Scott A. Surovell, chairman of the Fairfax County Democratic Committee, said he has met two paid Obama field organizers working on voter registration drives and other activities in Northern Virginia. The Obama campaign is also believed to be engaged in an aggressive voter-registration drive in Richmond. The campaign set a goal last month of registering 4,000 new voters in Richmond by June 13.

Some Democrats say the Obama campaign began quietly locating staffers in Virginia shortly after the North Carolina and Indiana primaries on May 6, a month before Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton (D-NY) dropped out of the race for the Democratic nomination.

With Virginia shaping up as potential battleground in the fall, Surovell said he is bracing for an unprecedented numbers of paid Democratic staffers on the-ground this summer and fall.

...Surovell said the "high water mark" for Virginia Democrats in terms of paid staff in Fairfax County was in 2005, when Gov. Timothy M. Kaine assigned one paid organizer in all nine of Fairfax's magisterial districts.

10. McCain's Love & Respect For Women

McCain's Love & Respect For Women

The Personal IS Political June 8, 2008

This is something I think every female Hillary supporter who is so upset that their female candidate didn't win they are willing to vote for John McCain to spite the Democratic Party. If you think the Democratic Party is sexist for having rules and following them, I think you need to take a look at who you intend to support in November. This is all about how McCain came back from Vietnam to find that is wife had been in a car accident and wasn't trophy enough for his big ego anymore, so he whored around with other women, and then traded her up for his current (and rich) wife. This is also the same man who called his current wife, Cindy a "cunt". Swell guy, definitely loves and respects women, I'm sure he'll be happy for your vote:

Really cool, like you are there, part of his staff.

He is really worried that if we don't win, then things will get
even worse in this country.

He said that whatever democrat had been nominated, we would have hope.

But now here we are, we have a democratic nominee.

He said each of his staff had to do even better than before, and that
he would have to be a better candidate.

13. McCain = Same as Bush, and thats ok with blood sucking leeches
Senator Lindsey Graham is just loving McSame.

John McCain Is The Same As Bush, Take It From His Surrogates The Personal IS Political June 8 2008

Two-thirds of Americans aren't fooled, they know John McCain is nothing more than a older and slightly less dopey version of Bush. They know McCain offers the same failed policies, and is beholden to the same greedy and corrupt corporate interests. They know that McCain, like virtually all Republicans, is all about looking out for his own political and financial interests, and the interest of his lobbyist friends and backers, and will sell them all down the river, just like Bush. McCain is working overtime to try to paint himself as something different, even though he represents the exact same policies of Bush, and he doesn't seem to notice the incompatibility of "change" and "same as Bush". Well, one of his major backers doesn't seem to think there is any difference between Bush and McCain either, and he thinks that is just fine:

Watch the video

And that, my friend, is why they all have to go. They are like a cancer on our country, cut them all out, don't leave a trace behind, because they are all malignant, and they are all making our country sick, from the Oval Office to the local school board (if you don't believe that, just look at what they have tried to do with public school curricula around the country, trying to force their religious beliefs into science class even though they go against proven scientific facts).

14. NY Times Writes Up Some Masterful Satire
He's kidding, right? That is what I thought when I read the NY Times article.

NY Times Writes Up Some Masterful Satire

Oliver Willis Published June 9, 2008

Usually when I want cutting edge satire I turn to The Onion, but this Sunday’s New York Times takes the cake. Apparently those zany kids at the Grey Lady wrote up an “op-ed” by “Mark Penn”. In the rollicking good column “Penn” claims that the reason Sen. Clinton lost was because of money and not message! That’s right, the creator of the message that Sen. Clinton was inevitable and we should just do away with primaries and caucuses claims that the only failure of the campaign was fiscal, and not that the voters rejected an incumbency campaign from a non-incumbent.

I mean, if the real Mark Penn really wrote something like that it would clearly be the work product of a highly delusional and deranged mind.
It must be satire, because not even a 47th level nimrod like Penn wouldn’t write something that bizarre.

Right?

15. McCain gets $58 K in disability but says GI bill TOO GENEROUS
Is John McCain physically disabled like many of our troops, or is he mentally and ethically disabled like George Bush?

Why is McCain getting $58,000 a year in disability income?
John Aravosis (DC) · 6/08/2008

First off, I find it fascinating that John McCain, who is refusing to vote for the GI Bill for our troops because "it's too generous," is himself getting $58,000 a year, tax-free, from the US government for his military service. Had McCain been getting that amount every year since Vietnam, that would total $2,000,000 for the man who isn't into overgenerous government. I just find that interesting.

His staff responded with the classic "he was tortured for his country." Yeah, we get it. The torture card. It's to McCain what 9/11 was to Giuliani's candidacy - the never-ending name-drop. Though what McCain's staff actually said was downright, um, we're being nice to Clinton now, so I won't say Clintonian.

Here's the quote:

McCain campaign strategist Mark Salter said Monday night that McCain was technically disabled. "Tortured for his country -- that is how he acquired his disability," Salter said.

Technically? What does that mean? Usually, it means that under the strict reading of the law, you're covered, but in fact it's kind of a nudge-nudge-wink-wink situation - that's what "technically" means. It's called parsing, which is something you do to "technically" claim something is true,
when on its face it really isn't. So is McCain "technically" disabled, and taking $58,000 a year tax free from the government, or is he actually disabled? I would imagine there are other solders who are actually disabled who could use the money. And if he is actually disabled, just how disabled is he?

He flatly denies saying what he actually said to a national TV
audience just last Tuesday, about how the media had been
mistweating poo' liddle Hiwwawy. And he says that his new
position that the President may engage in warrantless
wiretapping in violation of criminal statutes is no change at
all from his earlier position that "Presidents have the
obligation to obey and enforce laws that are passed by Congress
and signed into law by the president, no matter what the
situation is."

19. Getting Ready For The Inauguration
Friday, June 6, 2008 The Ladner Report
Getting Ready For The Inauguration

I am in Washington, D.C. to look at gowns for Obama's Inaugural Ball next January. I have more stores to visit over the next few days. All of my girlfriends think I'm joking but this is serious business. There will be a lot of black people in DC when this brother becomes our first black president (Aren't you glad we dispensed with Bill Clinton's claim to this title?). Girls, we have time to go to the gym, slim down, get our energy levels up and get ready for the biggest event black folks around the world will have seen in their lifetimes. Throughout the week I have heard people say one thing: "I never thought I would live to see the day." From the headlines of newspapers around the world, I expect this to be the biggest inaugural in history. People of African descent from around the world will be here, based on the media coverage I've read in the foreign press. Obama has given all of us a connection with each other.

I know Michelle is going to be dressed to the nines. Girlfriend knows how to dress. She has a way of putting her pieces together so that she always looks good.

Wasn't it beautiful to see the two of them knock fists together. She let her "boo" know she's got his back. When asked about it by a reporter, he said this is what he likes so much about his wife. She's always got his back. There is so much love and passion between them. It's wonderful to see him hug his boo on stage. Talk about a public display of affection.. They've got something that a whole lot of people wish they had.

Obama always puts his family first. He said yesterday that he was going home so he could take his wife on a date, and go for a bike ride with his daughters. Now, how real is he?? Real enough to be a great "Mr. President" who has it all in perspective.
