Now we know why there is the rumor about Michelle Obama.
Evidentially, McCain had a relationship with Cindy before he divorced his first wife, Carol. She was almost killed but disfigured in a car accident while he was a p.o.w. in Vietnam. If this becomes common knowledge, it could become a big drag on his campaign. Some people will not want her to be First Lady.

The "whitey" rumors concerning Michelle are obviously smears to offset the bad image of Cindy. When the rumor firs came out I wondered why this would be directed at Michelle and not Barack. Now it makes sense.

It is amazing that early in the primary that so much info came out about Rudy and his wife, but nothing came out about John and Cindy.

2. Maybe so. But the MSM has stayed away.
That was very different for Giuliani and his "woman problem". The NYC papers were all over that.

11. Wasn't Giuliani's "woman problem" that he dressed up like them?
*duck and cover* I kid, I kid...

I actually thought it was really cool that he was willing to dress in drag for fundraising. Very few politicians would do that.

3. But it really wasn't brought up
I remember reading all about Rudy, but the only thing I recall about McCain was the smear against his "black child" who turned out to be adopted. His first wife and his relationship with her after he returned to the US wasn't really talked about much, as I recall.

8. well, I've told at least 15 people about the fact that he was married
before, and no one had any idea.

I didn't until he became the nominee- there is a LOT about McCain people don't know.

peace~

4. They desperately don't want his "Johnnie Tailhook" attitude front and center
If people knew how mysogonistic he really was, all this crap about voting for McCain over Obama because of hillary would end in a heartbeat.

7. We really don't want to go after McCain and his family
Here is why: McCain's family could be a big asset to his campaign but he won't use them.

He has a son that is an enlisted Marine who has been to Iraq and is about to go back.

The other son is at Annapolis and will probably end up deploying to Iraq at some point in the next year or two.

Also, the McCains adopted a Bangladeshi girl.

Most of the public doesn't know about this and if we start going after McCain's family:

1. He'll get some sympathy because it will be seen as going after his family
2. The public will be treated to big fluff pieces about the McCain family's commitment to the country.
3. The public will be treated to big fluff pieces about the McCain family's adoption of an orphan from an orphanage run by Mother Teresa.
