2. The rich made out like bandits under Bushco. The rest of us
got royally screwed or worse.

5. Barack's next economy speech ought to be in front of a gas station.
He doesn't need to drive up in a huge pickup (a la Hillary in Indiana?) but he needs to wrap the price of gas around Cheney, Bush (oil man), and McSame. The Bush's are tied to the Saudi royal family.

4. I am...
But I live and work in east Asia.

The tanking of the US economy under 8 years of mismanagement by DUH-bya is the root cause for my financial well-being.

However, with the election of bush-wannabe Myeong-bak here in Korea those fortunes appear to be turning.

6. I'm better off now because
I changed jobs a year ago. And the bonus is that I get paid mileage. My income has increased 56%. I must be the anomaly.

8. I am much better off than 8 years ago!!!
Higher pay, I can afford the gas and healthcare shared with my employer.

Unemployment is at about 5 - 5.5% nationally, what was in 98?

9. I'm not, but I'm a teacher & my husband is in the US auto industry, at least
for the moment, until it is forced out of business by imports & their tax advantages. Since he's an engineer, guess we'll have to go to Asia for him to secure employment when that happens, or he could be a Wal-Mart greeter.:sarcasm:

I will be getting a 1% raise this year. Whoop. Loosing ground all the time.

We've all lost ground simply because the $ has been devalued so much during *'s administration.

10. embarrassed to say, yes.
Coincidently, I just got me SS statement today.
in 1999, I made 41,303 and for 2007, I made 62,333.
In that time, my wife quit her teaching job to raise our 3 year old daughter.
We also refinanced our house to a shorter term/lower interest rate.
I think we are doing better.
