I can remember his military background ... oops husband having a fit... machine is sick.

Cordially,

7. I worry a bit about his age.
Don't get me wrong, he's not too old yet, but come 2016 when we're wanting to run an incumbent VP for president, he will be older than John McCain is right now.

That aside though, I think he's the best man for the job. He's got foreign policy cred, has had a plan for Iraq for years, and he campaigns well.

13. I think he's great, let's focus on 2008, not 2016 right now, we need to get in THIS year.....
Biden and Dodd are both excellent IMHO, Biden is more well known however....

12. Obama rightly attacked Clinton's vote on bankruptcy reform...Biden voted for it as well..
Edited on Tue Jun-10-08 09:14 PM by tokenlib
Bankruptcy reform legislation was corporate welfare for the greedy gluttonous credit card lenders and banks and opposed by every major consumer group in the country.. I don't care if many of those banks are based in Delaware. It is still evil mean-spirited legislation that was aimed at maximizing profits on the backs of the financially destitute..

For those of us who care about such things--this disqualifies Biden.

16. Hard to hammer McCain for bad judgment in voting for the war when
your VP pick did the same thing.

Picking someone who voted for the war would be a big mistake and one that the GOP would take full advantage of.

22. See: Biden-Lugar amendment. Biden tried ot get a more limited resolution. It was struck down
Plus, Biden's exit strategy of federalization in Iraq is the right one. I suggest looking deeper into the issue and about every person's statements over the past five years rather than drawing conclusions from a "yea" or "nay" vote

24. Trying to talk your way out of a yea vote on something as
important as the war? Sorry, I don't think the American Public is in the mood to buy it.

Biden, a long-time Washington Insider representing change? Well I guess McCain could argue that he represents change too.

29. I think O'Biden would kick some serious McAss.
He would be a hell of a campaigner for the GE and he wouldn't be afraid to say a lot of the stuff that might cause Obama ("god love him") to go below the high road that he always takes. Plus you can't argue the advantage on foreign policy AND experience.

I think O'Biden would kick some serious McAss!
