|
Edited on Wed Jun-11-08 07:16 PM by rndmprsn
hammering john w mccsame on wanting to stay in iraq for 100 years, not thinking coming home is important, having a debate with himself, and being confused and having no knowledge of the middle east or iraq!
HIT EM IN THEIR (SUPPOSED) STRONG POINTS
man i bet kerry felt GREAT giving THAT SWIFTBOATING interview!

2. Not only that, but everytime John Kerry speaks, folks remember |
|
how he was swiftboated with lies. Reminds folks of 2004, and how the GOP lied...and how they now wish they had Kerry at the helm instead of 28% Bush.

3. Is it me or does Kerry seem more agressive now than he was in 2004? |
|
Maybe we were all walking on eggshells then, and Bush and the Republicans still may have had a shred of support, but it sure seems Kerry and all Democrats are really attacking this year. Attacking with conviction. Attacking with confidence.
Actually, I think this started in 2006, but it sure is fun seeing it in during the presidential elections.

8. He is perfectly playing the role that |
|
too few played for him 4 years ago, that of a powerful, knowledgeable, and aggresive surrogate. Notice that Obama did not say anything on this yet. Instead, people like Kerry, Biden, and even Reid are surrounding him and doing the attacking for him.

It just seemed 4 years ago the poor guy was left twisting in wind. I appreciate very much what he's doing for Obama this year.

" they neglected to secure the known ammo dumps, and that material is now in the ieds that are killing and maiming "our kids"? "(from memory - so likely somewhat wrong. Or the often said "He misled us into war, without exhausting the peace, without letting the inspectors complete their work, without adequate armor, without a plan for the peace ... and not as a war of last resort. (the latter heard by many Catholics as saying that it was not a just war.)
I do think that he spoke in somewhat politer terms of Bush - but Bush was President and he was the nominee, not a surrogate. In 2004, he had to always appear Presidential and he had to attack - he needed a vp willing to carry part of the load on that and Edwards (proudly) wouldn't. He needed a "Kerry" surrogate himself.

17. I think the political climate is to different now than in 2004. Kerry no longer |
|
walking on eggshells. He really pissed me off back then, but I'm really liking him now. And I am thoroughly enjoying how unified the Dems in Congress are behind Obama. They are all coming out to help thwart Right Wing attacks. Durbin went after the RW for sliming Michelle. Kerry and Wes Clark ripped McDumbya a new asshole. I'm loving this unity thing.
And I am feeling it here as well. It's good to see Dems united for once.

I definitely think the mood has chanced since 4 years ago - do you remember how no one in the media would speak out against Bush - I think maybe the war was too new - people didn't want to be seen criticizing the president in a time of war I guess. Being anti-war wasn't as popular then.

13. Kerry did NOT swiftboat McCain |
|
Everything he said was 100% honest and truthful. The fact is that McCain really has been wrong far more often than right. Kerry said that McCain completely fails to understand Iraq and look at the comments Mccain has made - they show he has no interest or understanding of Iraq's divisions and that makes it hard for McCain to get why it is unlikely that (shia)Iran would train (Sunni) Al Queda.
To equate Kerry telling the truth to the SBVT lying is stunningly wrong. To think it was swiftboating and praise it is wrong too.

14. As others have said, not "swiftboating"... he was telling the truth |
|
swiftboating The process of smearing a military veteran's service record for political purposes. Named after the Swiftboat Veterans for Truth, who discredited John Kerry's war record during the 2004 U.S. presidential election. http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=swiftboating
