3. This is the Obama campaign's fault.

He's done a great job running the campaign, taking advantage of the web so far. But, while that was a dumb error on the media's part, the real blunder here is on Obama's campaign.

As somebody who works on the web for a living, EVERY TIME before we open a new website the first thing you do is buy up every variation on the URL we can.

To buy fightthesmears.com and leave fightthesmears.org out there to be bought up is a dumb error.

How many times the MSNBC anchor kept saying the .org one was "an anti-Obama site"? She kept saying: "We want to correct the web address the campaign. The correct address is fightthesmears.com, not fightthesmears.org, and that's an anti-Obama site. Again, fightthesmears.org is wrong; that's an anti-Obama site." Continually putting the emphasis on fightthesmears.org being anti-Obama. Like she wants people to know that.
