I'm listening to Randy and I love her show to death and the fact that she's exposing PAPA and the rest of the fraud rethugs BUT in light of Tim Russertt's DEATH can you please put the politics aside for one day and pay tribute to him like EVERYBODY is.

1. Meh.
Are we going to have to lower all the flags to have mast for a month too? I think this is a bit much.

3. I don't think Russert would like that. He was a true political wonk just like I am.
I never cared for Randi but I don't see why she should offer more than a polite remembrance. Same goes for any other journalist/talker aside from those who worked with him.

4. Actually, I might just tune in
because quite frankly, the insincerity around this place is truly sickening today.

12. If you think it's bad today, just pray nothing happens to
Rush Limbaugh. If the response to Russert's death is any indication, the site will have to close down for several days of mourning.

7. Yeah, I just tuned in.
Kind of disappointed myself. But I've been cooling toward Randi lately -- she seems to be MEAN to a lot of callers.

9. I thought she gave him a nice tribute when she announced his death.
How much more is there to say until there is more information? What she's saying about McCain is important. He's looking more like a clone of his opposition Rudy Giuliani than not. Their pasts certainly show what mean people both of them are.

10. I agree--leave the grief marathons to NBC News
it's more appropriate.

15. With the exception of NBC colleagues, he'd probably prefer them to just mention it and
move on.

He was every bit the political wonk I am if not moreso and a fitting tribute would be to get on down to business.

17. The only TV news I watch is Democracy Now and the BBC America News.

Both gave a warm tribute when they announced his death and then they moved on to other news stories. Why is Randi held to a different standard?

to Tim Russert.
