BREAKING: I'm going to vote for.... |
|
KERRY!
I never thought I would say that, living in the backwater hellhole that is Indiana. But I am. Even if my vote is wasted because of the electoral college. I am going to campaign for him starting in a few days (when I get down to bloomington).
Congrats DU, you've helped change my mind. (I was going to vote for a more liberal candidate, just for the record.)

I wasn't for Kerry at first either, but the more I've seen, the more I'm thrilled to support the guy.
Welcome to the bandwagon. ;)

My standards aren't very high at this point, and I imagine they'll only get lower as bushco does more to ruin this great country.
I'm deeply troubled by having to vote AGAINST someone, but I feel I have no choice.
Not to mention that Kerry can expect as much attention from me as Bush has received. I expect a liberal agenda in the coming four years.

8. Mostly lowering of standards |

BushCO does more and more to ruin this great country, and I feel like I can make the most difference politically by helping push Indiana toward Kerry.
I'm, by no means, pleased with my choices, but if BushCO gets reinstalled in 2004, I think Canada can add one to its roster.

I think I would head for Vancouver, if I moved, but I don't know.
The Windor/London scene is pretty cool for a college student.

but it also costs a fortune; I'm originally from the US, so I'm kinda in exile, too..
Winnipeg is probably the most liberal city other than Vancouver in western Canada, and very affordable; you should think about moving there if worst comes to worst..

18. I've considered Winnipeg. But some Canadians had me questioning |
|
that decision.
They said "it's the murder capital of canada, but when I checked they had less murder per capita then Minneapolis so? They also said it's a bit run down and full of petty crime? That they don't keep up the streets and the city etc...
Also these Canadians were people who moved to the US, I think because they are conservative?
What's life in Winnipeg like from your perspective? Schools, standard of living, etc...

20. Winnipeg is like a mini-Chicago... |
|
or Twin Cities culture-wise; the violent crime rate is less then most big cities in Canada. They elect New Democratic MP's and Mayors (NDP would be along the lines of the left wing of the Democratic Party in the US), and the music scene is awesome.
If my wife and I wern't tied to Edmonton right now, Winnipeg would be a place I'd certainly consider moving to..

How easy is it to immigrate? I've looked into it before, and passed the so called test online, but I assume you need employment etc??

Me and my family will be right behind ya!
There isn't one perfect human being running for President. I always say, the lesser of evils includes ALL 200 plus Presidential candidates running for office in this country. There are very few people with a record in office that we can examine before casting our votes.
I look at what Bush promised "compassinate conservatism" ??? :puke:
I remember thinking, "hey maybe this guy won't be so bad" but his rhetoric was vastly different then his policy, which is one reason I demand a record.
Peace to you with your decision. Thanks for putting people before rhetoric and unchecked, so called 'principal' :hi:

but you might want to contact your Secretary of State's office to ascertain what sort of voting machines are in your precinct. If they are touch screens, consider voting absentee, just to be sure. Make sure your vote will be counted.
