Newsweek - McCain Is Not Bush Because He Is Lying To Conservatives?

This is an interesting bit of MSM spin on John McCain. Talk about a free ride. The article notes that John McCain drifted right, and embraced George Bush's policies to consolidate RW support. However, the article then goes on to say that John McCain will govern differently from Bush, because he will not kowtow to the RW. What? So, the reason why McCain is not third term of Bush is because he is bs'ing the RW?

Isn't it also possible that he is really bs'ing the general electorate? Also, isn't there a problem having a candidate who so easily modifies his stance on abortion, taxes, and the war?
