McCain: Pawlenty has 'big place' in GOP future

MINNEAPOLIS - Presidential candidate John McCain says Tim Pawlenty has "a very big place" in the Republican Party's future. But McCain is not saying whether he's considering Minnesota's governor as a running mate.

McCain says he's not naming potential running mates, and does not have a short list. But he's praising Pawlenty for sticking with him when his chances didn't look good during the primaries.

He also says Pawlenty has shown that a Republican can win in Minnesota, which hasn't supported a Republican presidential candidate since 1972.

1. Timmy the Tool wants that VP spot so bad, he's been living in McCain's pants

for at least the past year. Pawlenty is one of those affable-looking seemingly nice guys who would gut his own mother rather than raise taxes because he's so scared of the Randian asshat winguts at the Taxpayer's League. Of course we have collapsing freeway bridges, and a couple of others had to be closed, because Timmy absolutely opposes any expenditures for stuff that regular people use, like infrastructure. Timmy sucks hard enough to bend light. The only good thing that could come of his being McCain's VP is that it would get his sorry ass out of Minnesota.
