Obama ad buys indicate he is going to press McCain hard by expanding the front line to Red States
The Obama Campaign is taking a very aggresive approach by not only buying ads in traditional swing states (like Florida and Ohio), and new swing states (like Colorado, Iowa, Missouri, Nevada, New Mexico, North Carolina and Virginia) but he is going after states that are considered "safe" for McCain but may be ready for a surprise attack and an unexpected flip, like Alaska, Georgia, and Montana. The buys may confirm that Obama internals are showing that Georgia is now, unexpectedly, tied:

"Country Love" is 60 seconds long and will air in 18 states at a cost to the campaign of, and i'm estimating, more than 1.5 million per week; if he's saturating the airwaves, the figure is closer to $3 million.

The ad will air in Alaska, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Indiana, Michigan, Missouri, Montana, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and Virginia, per the campaign.

11. I'm in GA and I'm SO very excited this year. AJC.com has article today about how
GA is tied between the O-man and little mc. This is the first time in my voting life that GA has ever been in play for Pres. It is very, very exciting and exhilarating.

13. sorry Grant. Didn't post the article. Haven't quite gotten around to learning how to do that.
But it was on the Atlanta Journal-Constitution home page yesterday (www.ajc.com) The polling was done by Insider Advantage and for now, it's very promising, something like McC-45, Obama 43.

7. I have been out all day - is it a done deal?
is there a link?

I wonder what would happen if he accepts it and then is not the nominee?

6. The ad buys are at least in part due to the fact that air time in a lot of those states....
is close to free.

But in any case, McCain can't possibly cover all 30 states or whatever that he needs to win.

10. If McCain has to spend any money in Alaska, Montana and Georgia
he is finished - and I expect Georgia can be expensive.

8. Shoot! Come on Bama! ...don't dump Texas, you can still win here. Texas has added enough coastals in
...the last 2 years to swing the double digits polls if you campaign here.

Yes We Can turn Texas blue
