9. Looks like a startling number of lasts, judging from this thread.
Maybe we should ask them why we haven't kicked George Bush out of the Democratic Party?

12. But he is allowed to caucus with the dems...

Maybe they should kick him out of the caucus.

(Maybe they should kick him in the caucus.)

14. They needed him to gain control of the Senate.
Who knows what bargaining chip he demanded for that? It might be costlier for them to kick him out than to keep him. The story is that dumping him wouldn't change leadership due to some agreement worked out, but he might have some other power. Or maybe they are just afraid of what he could do. Caucusing with the Republicans would give them a majority, and there are all types of parliamentarian rules and loopholes they might be able to use.

Plus, why give him the attention? He'd just use it to hurt Obama. Let him enjoy his last few months of being important. Neither party will want or need him in January.

Not that I'd mourn him being booted. :)

3. We still need him.
Until after the election and then he should be kicked to the curb.

4. Dude, he has NOT been a member of the Democratic Party since
summer 2006, when he switched his affiliation from "Democratic" to "Independent".

instead of being rewarded with committee assignments and allowed to manouver himself into a position where he has us by the balls with his token pro-Dem votes everyonce in a while.

16. if he was kicked out he'd still be a committee chair, Only it would be as a repub
And you could enjoy the fine work that would be done by Judiciary Committee chairman Hatch or Environmental Committee Chair Inhofe or Armed Services Cmmittee Chair McCain

10. God I would love it
but he already left. What I want to see is that benedict arnold turned out from every committee he currently sits on. He only is there because he was a DINO. Now he has shaken off all illusions and revealed himself to be the political whore everyone knows him to be. Imagine, he had resounding support in the senate until he lost the primary in 06 to Ned Lamont. Even after Lamont only enjoyed half-hearted support. Yet Lieberman shows his gratitude by stabbing DEM's in the back at every opportunity. God I pray our candidate wins in november. I pray we solidify our majority. So we can utterly humiliate him by throwing him down the capitol steps.(metaphorically speaking)

11. They should strip him of his committee assignments now!!
Edited on Fri Jun-20-08 12:58 PM by Roberto1223
he is worse than Mata Hari, he is a poor impersonation of a former Democrat and our former Vice-Presidential nominee. The biggest mistake that Al Gore made was to trust this jerk. He should have given it (the VP nod) to Dianne Feinstein instead.

13. Once he shows up on stage at the RNC convention he'll be removed from his chairmanships.
Harry Reid won't have much choice at that point because the outcry will be so fierce. Lieberman will then officially jump to the repubs and give the senate to them for a few months until more Dems are elected in November.

That's a price I'm very willing to pay.
