Presidential Accountability C-SPAN3 now |
|
Edited on Sat Jun-21-08 06:54 PM by Dollface
Excellent discussion on C-Span3 with Woodward, Bernstein and some Texas law professors (didn't get names) about presidential power, GWB, Nixon and impeachment.
I just noticed it is from MArch 2007. Still a good discussion.

2. They were talking about how it gets looser and looser until something happens to tighten it back up |
|
They also discussed the change in the atmosphere of Washington and how in the case of Watergate the Republicans joined the Democrats in calling for impeachment and how things have changed so that this is no longer going to happen.
As to your question, I figured Bush would suck as a president in 2000 but could not have imagined just how bad it would be. I can't explain where the accountability was in 2004. I'm hoping the bunch of smart guys on Cspan will explain it to me.
