Kristol: Bush might bomb Iran if he 'thinks Senator Obama’s going to win’
On Fox News Sunday this morning, Weekly Standard editor Bill Kristol said that President Bush is more likely to attack Iran if he believes Sen. Barack Obama (D-IL) is going to be elected.

5. Because he knows the MSM won't pick up the story
so most people will never hear about it and the Fox viewers who did hear it, probably agree with it.

8. It's a threat
to all those Repubs who have begun to realize that the war was a mistake and are thinking about voting for Obama. With this threat, they can vote for McCain and think they are acting in the best interest of their country

9. people are sick of war. now the Right is using Bush as the "bogeyman"
IF YOU ELECT OBAMA, the terrorist in the White House will strike. We are less safe if you vote for Obama. Can you believe these fucking animals? Now instead of using specter of Osama bin Laden....they are literally trying to hold the country hostage with threats.

24. Kristol is what the clinicians call a highly functioning psychotic. He does reasonably well in

society (the GOP gives him a sense of purpose) but he's insane, nonetheless.

26. I think he's more of a sociopath than a psychopath
He knows exactly what he is doing and saying, and he has a complete lack of empathy for other people. Classic sociopathic behavior.

4. Yep, this was posted here somewhere this AM but certainly deserves...
as much attention as it can be given. I think that Bush is so uncertain of what an Obama Presidency would hold for he and his Administration that he certainly would create some shock and awe to kill this election.

6. Weird that some would consider that a sure win for the Rethugs.
People are sick enough and pissed off about Iraq. If Bush waged another bogus war before the GE, I would think that he'd be handing the presidency over to Obama (you know ... the intelligent, responsible leader).

18. He said if it looks like Obama is going to win
Therefore, handing the election to Obama at that point would be moot. The idea behind it would be that, since Obama appears unwilling to address the Iran issue, Bush would have to deal with it himself. And Obama can handle the fallout.

15. Good God, I can believe Kristol thinking something like that.
If Bush should invade Iran because of Obama's chances of getting to the WH that would surely be reason to drag Bush's sorry ass into international court. Unbelievable. If this is Bush's plan then he has really taken over the role of dictator.

16. The only solice is that Kristol is just about wrong on anything

I am quite shocked that they talk so glibly about a military strike on Iran, especially with the Russian and IAEA statements.

because if that's what it takes for Bush to be idiotic enough to start WW3, then we all know Kristol is on board.
