Hannity Forum going nuts that Swiftsmear book #1...BUT... |
|
Edited on Fri Aug-20-04 01:03 AM by Lovecrafty
I reminded them that Clinton's book was #1 for six weeks! And of course Franken's book was #1 for months! I plan to bump that post next week when it starts to slip off the charts..and by this time next month it will be completely out of the top ten! The sad fact is Nascar watching Bush fans don't read too many books!

1. Isn't Hannity's forum at least 60% liberal? |

I've been posting there for months now, long before I discovered this wonderful forum! I started out as "Lovecraft", but got kicked for saying something negative about Hannity! So I came back as "Relentlessliberal", which I'm currently going by. But getting back to your point, your probably correct. The reason why I've stayed so long there was because I never felt like I was the only liberal there. I would always have some wonderful people there to back me up when "debating" those wingnuts! All that is mute, however, since I have been increasingly coming to the DU now and really love the dialogue that occurs here! It's refreshing to find so many Democrats gathered in the same place and my days of wandering the Hannity board are about over!
The ironic thing is that I have NEVER listened to Hannity in MY LIFE! I've caught Hannity and Colmes a few times because the Hannitized Drones would carry on so much about a particular show..but I have never listened to hannity on the radio. I imagine he is a lot worse on the radio!

we're making progress there, I think. Today, Maelstrom conceded that the talk of Iraq having an active weapons program was malarky ...
Cons starting to see that social safety nets are good for everybody, a few freaks insisting on saying ridiculous things about Kerry which mainly serves to make others who are more honest cringe ... this week has been stellar.

Latrine Services package. I stand corrected.

3. Awwe, common now, I like NASCAR too! |

I'm a Kerry supporter (ex-deaniac!) and I read books too!
Don't slam all the NASCAR fans, we're not all brain dead.

I was just trying to come up with a stereotype! I was going to use redneck, but since Bush seems to want to claim the Nascar Fans as his own and he himself has admitted he doesn't read....well I simply put two and two together! Sorry if I offended you. Personally, the idea of watching cars go around in circles for two hours just doesn't thrill me. Of course, I play Magic the Gathering so you could probably stereotype me as well!!
Again, I'm sorry if I offended you. I suppose it IS unlikely that EVERY Nascar fan is a Bush voter!

6. Dale Earnhardt even recommended F911 to his fans. |
|
(Which pissed off plenty of Freepers).
Now that is one smart NASCAR guy.

9. The list you referenced doesn't say anything about who they |
|
contributed to! Unless I'm misreading it, it's a list of "political contributors"...to both parties. At the top of the list there is a designation of Party, but most names have no indication. I feel pretty sure Max Clelland didn;t contribute to the Pubs.
I see not problem with anyone who has the $$ making a contribution to a campaign they believe in. I stated above that I am a Dean supporter, and for the first time in my life, I contributed to his campaign. I also might add, my household income is $25,500/yr...not necessarily haveing a lot of disposable income, and certainly not able to buy influence with anybody.

only #1 because every conservative in the country is running out to buy it and replace their BIBLE with it. both of which contain about as much fact as a fairy tale fantasy.

13. I think those lists ... |

... are based on scans in stores ... the free giveaways only serve to increased the "published" numbers.
