If praying in a Mosque is good enough for the Pope, then why
isn't it a good thing for McCain or Obama?

Wasn't the Islamic Center in Washington D.C. given the blessing of Eisenhower, and hasn't every president including * visted there?

I'm tired of fundy Christian hypocrisy.

1. Obama..

...needs to find some liberal clergy to go with him and visit a mosque. I think that would be his only cover, if there were a catholic priest, a minister, and whoever else to go there like it's a field trip or something. Pictures would include all of them together, and not Obama separately. Then the idiot right wingers wouldn't be able to criticize as much.

2. But remember, the Pope...
...isn't a "real" Christian, according to fundylogic.

Then, he's their best friend.

17. Something like that. For them, the Protestant Reformation...
...is late breaking news.

5. is this really what you want Obama to do right now?
or would you prefer that he WIN THE PRESIDENCY FIRST and THEN pray at a mosque?

7. Well, the Pope did it, and he isn't Muslim. Bush did it, and he isn't
Muslim. So, why, if Obama does it, he'll be called a Muslim?

I'm just talking about the damned hypocrisy of fundamentalist Christians.

9. I would have no problem with Obama if he visited your coven....
We're electing a President, not hiring a preacher.

16. But he's not visiting my coven, and I feel shunned.
Is Obama a wiccophobic bigot? I'm very concerned.

I'm so disappointed, maybe I'll vote for John McCain.

8. Dammit, I'm a solitary practitioner and Obama has NEVER been
to one of my solitary rituals. Oh, wait. I guess I wouldn't be a solitary practitioner anymore then, would I?

12. I'm not criticizing Obama for not going to a Mosque. I'm criticizing
fundy Christians who would tar and feather him if he did, even though they had no problem with Dubya doing it.

10. Simple Answer
Because in this country, if someone sees a white person praying at a mosque, they assume they are visiting.

The same assumption does not apply for anyone not caucasian.

14. That would be a bad assumption, and
Obama is white. I've seen pictures of him with his mother. :sarcasm:
