I was just push-polled--- |
|
The caller id said the number was from Herndon, VA 703-961-0500 and the organization said that they were authorized by "Helping Hands Support"--
Here were some of the questions (yes or no questions only allowed):
1) Do you believe that marriage should only be between a man and a woman?
2) Are you pro-life?
3) Do you support the NRA?
4) Do you support school vouchers?
5) Do you prefer to have permanent tax cuts? (as opposed to what--permanent trillion-dollar deficits?)
And the really interesting part of this poll is that I live in friggin' right-wing South Carolina!!!!

2. Actually the the polls have SC as a "pink" state now |
|
Not solid red... will SC go Bush probably but the work we Democrats are doing here I guess is making some kind of difference.

3. Yes! Great work down South, SCDem! |
|
It's great to see some 'pink' down there! No 'gimmes' this election!
Keep up the great work!

4. It was an electronic thing-- |
|
You had to say No or Yes. I tried to say "Hell fucking NO" on one and it responded--"Only Yes or No" answers will be accepted. The last question was whether or not I contributed to political parties and organizations.

6. I wouldn't call that a very strong push poll. |
|
A push poll would be more like
"Knowing that marriage has been tradionally defined as one man and one woman for centuries, would you support changing this time honored institution to allow any one to marry someone or something they "loved"?"
OR
"If you knew that a baby can feel pain in the womb as early as one week after conception, would you still want a woman to kill the baby just because she wanted to?"
Push polls don't have to use "truth" and lead you to only one "correct" answer. Ugh!
