Swiftscum O'Neill a Democrat? |
|
I thought it was determined that O'Neill had donated $15,000 to Republicans, but some resmuglican is arguing with me that half of that was to Democrats - and that the WP recanted an earlier report.
Anybody know the latest on that? Link?

2. Nope he did donate 15,000 to Republicans |
|
He lied and said a business partner was the one who donated half the money. But that is all.

John E. O'Neill of the Smear boat veterans is a registered Repug who has worked on several Repug candidate's campaigns. He has also given $15,000 exclusively to Repugs.
Edward J. O'Neill is a different person working at the same law firm as John O'Neill. Edward O'Neill has given to Democrats.

O'Neil has been practicing law in Texas for 3 decades and is very well connected with the Texas GOP. Knows Bob Perry, the money man behind the SBVTs very well.

8. WAIT! Before you call him on it tell him you are disturbed that our side |
|
would do such a thing and get him to promise that if you find out this is true that JOHN O'NEILL has given to Dems, you will vote for bush* but if JOHN O'NEILL has given only to repukes, your friend will vote for Kerry!
Then call him on it.

12. O'Neill's lawfirm is infested with Republicans |
|
The Houston lawfirm of Clements O'Neill Pierce Wilson and Fulkerson is headed by John O'Neill (Clements is deceased). The firm is top to bottom full of Republicans.
Partner Margaret Wilson (the Wilson in the lawfirm's name) was the General Counsel to George Bush while he was Governor from 1998 to 2000 and was heavily involved in the Funeralgate scandal.
John O'Neill himself was a law clerk under Supreme Justice Rehnquist after graduating from law school.
Jack O'Neill, one of the partners has a wife named Harriet O'Neill who is a staunch Republican and was appointed by George W. Bush to the Texas Supreme Court while he was Governor of Texas and where she continues to be one of the Justices.
One of the former law partners (now deceased) was Tex Lezar, who was married to Merrie Spaeth, who is the chief public relations consultant to the Swift Boat Vets.
The law practice itself of Clements O'Neill Pierce Wilson & Fulkerson is virtually entirely oriented toward the oil industry and energy. The clients of the firm include Duke Energy, Koch Industries, both heavy Bush campaign donors, as well as Exxon among many others.
