Why is John McCain's domain behind WHOIS Privacy? |
|
http://whois.domaintools.com/johnmccain.comI'm almost positive this is against FEC rules. I'm going to have to call them.

1. Okay, I talked to the FEC |
|
The nice young woman said that the FEC has decided to take a "hands off" approach to the Internet. And so they have no rules on WHOIS. The only thing they require is that the actual campaign site has a disclaimer on it.
Still. Why hide the WHOIS behind a privacy service? Doesn't that strike you as a little shady?
