Bush Team Is Vulnerable: Use it to your advantage Sen. Kerry!! |

Edited on Fri Aug-20-04 06:45 PM by hiphopnation23
Seems to me that this is an opportune time to flip this campaign on its ear and start double-working the offensive strategy.
While he gets the FEC involved on the swiftboat claim he should start hammering away at some of the core issues facing every day Americans (most swing voters) i.e. economy/jobs, healthcare, environment concerns, civil liberties, veterans, etc. He could be seen not only as someone who will fight injustice and hold people accountable but also as the candidate who truly cares about voters lives. Just a late-friday-afternoon thought...

1. I agree. I have a fair amount of confidence in Kerry, although the amount |

of coverage of SwiftSmear has made me nervous/nauseous. He seems smart and tough and a fighter. I am hoping that his campaign has a good strategy to regain the initiative they had since the convention.
One possibility, as it develops, may be that they actually have the goods to show the Bush campaign broke the law. It may give an opening not only to help the campaign somehow financially, but also provide a rhetorical opening to show how empty the Bush campaign and presidency is, to have to resort to this kind of attack instead of examining their horrible record.
