The more we honor veterans the more we appreciate the cost of war in human sacrifice and the more we appreciate sacrifice itself, which has got to be a good thing for a society to do.

to be honest, Vets will always be a political football, whether the left or the right is in power.
But a Kerry administration will not cut Vet benefits and not cut servicemen's salaries, and they won't send our military into every hornet's nest on the planet to protect Big Oil revenue.
That's how JK will help Vets. But come election time, we'll be whoring them out just as much as the Dark Side. That's political reality.
