Has the FISA vote given Bob Barr the perfect issue with which to condemn both parties?
He can't run on economic issues, or environmental ones, but this was just handed to him...

3. I believe it will give Barr ammunition, but more to the point, I believe it will cost Obama votes.

The party being most damaged by Barr's candidacy prior to this vote was the Republican Party, they were supposedly the party of less government and here they are illegally wiretapping the American People, Orwell's worst nightmare coming true, betraying their supposed constituency.

I have no doubt the Republicans would've payed a price and while Barr may not have garnered a heavy percentage of the vote, I believe some independents would've drifted over to the Democratic Party and voted for Obama, or not voted, this vote mucks up the picture.

The corporate media live for this, now they can work to keep the race tight until who knows when.
