Great old photo of Kerry and Rood not long after Silver Star action...

Democratic presidential nominee John Kerry, left, and William B. Rood, right, are shown in this undated photo at the Swift boat base at An Thoi shortly after the action for which Kerry was awarded the Silver Star and Rood was awarded the Bronze Star in early 1969 during his service in Vietnam. Both men are holding weapons captured in the mission. Rood, a night city editor with the Chicago Tribune, who served with Kerry during the Vietnam War as the commander of a Navy swift boat on the 1969 mission ischallenging the attacks on Kerry's account of the incident. 1. How could they have captured weapons
when they weren't being fired upon?

Maybe the VC just liked to leave them laying around for anyone to pick up.

:freak:

Yes the VC did hide weapons and ammo to pick up later.

I'm not saying that's how Kerry got the RPG.

But they did store stuff in hidden bunkers and hooches.

5. "Kerry bought it and hauled it out when *needed*
for his opening act in his 35 year run for President of the US"

c'mon, you KNOW someone is going to claim something insane like that.

BTW, my husband said that at the gym a guy was telling someone that it is "suspicious" that Rood "showed up all of a sudden!" Seems that if he *really* could verify Kerry's story, that he would have shown up sooner---his "theory?" He was waiting until Teresa offered him enough of a bribe. Seems that these two geniuses also called Teresa "the new Hillary!" (Mr. W_D said they looked like two 20 year old steroid addicts. Sounds like they think like they are...)

7. Dude didn't find it "suspicious" that the Swifties "suddenly show up"
during a Presidential Campaign to smear Kerry, funded by Roveco buddies?

10. Does It Make Anyone Else PROUD That We Have Such a Nominee?
A man of such honour, integrity, strength and kindness?

John Kerry makes me proud to be an American.

11. Not totally
Him standing with an RPG reminds me of his stance on Iraq.

Why won't he come out and say "US out, UN in"?

13. Oh GAWD, Can't people let that go already???
He DID come back from vietnam to protest it you know.

And if he were to say "US out, UN in" he might as well hand the election over to bush, hmm, i remember a couple other candidates who said just that, kucinich and nader, and where are THEY in the polls? :eyes:

14. I wonder if smarty pants O'Neill knows about this photo.
Makes him look like quite an idiot saying that Kerry's boat did not come under attack and here is a photo to prove it did.

The SVFT have gone from making people believe that Kerry exaggerated, to asking people to either believe Kerry and the Navy or O'Neill saying that Kerry made every thing up. To believe O'Neill you have to accept that people volunteered for active duty to further future political careers, that people could self inflict shrapnel wounds without causing their own death and that there were no atrocities in Vietnam.
