If Lieberman spoke at the GOP convention, wouldn't he be booed? |
|
It would be like Trent Lott speaking in Denver for Obama, no? So I don't even get the reason why McCain would want him speaking there. Does he think those puke convention attendees are going to go wild for...Joe Lieberman?

2. They WOULD go wild for Lieberman |
|
Don't forget, he was (for all it got us) our VP nominee 8 years ago. They can trot out OUR VP nominee and say, "look, the Democrats have lost their way to such a degree that their own VP nominee from 8 years ago is speaking here and endorsing OUR guy!"
They will conveniently neglect to mention that Lieberman couldn't even win the Democratic Primary in his own state for re-election to the Senate, that he was no longer a Democrat, and that he had been schmoozing up to the Republicans for years now, so this was not some sudden revelation that brought him to their convention, but more like "any port in a storm." But we'll be the ones mentioning all that and the MSM will be fawning over his conversion of conscience and all that made-up crap they use to fill time in-between commercials.

party is putting America's security at stake. Liebermann has been a GOP spokesperson against Obama. Why wouldn't they applaud him?

The Rethugs are going to trot out these losers at every convention for the rest of our lives, so you may as well get used to it.

11. Republicans tend to respect Lieberman |
|
Even though he is pro-choice, pro-environment, pro-labor, and anti-reckless tax cuts. But I guess his hawkishness and his faith make Republicans respect him.
