Obama has lots of ammo to use on McCain regarding Bush's press conference |
|
Bush is flailing like a poisoned fish in the middle of a pond with his press conference. He's defensive, he's testy, he's arrogant... nothing new there, but he is saying pretty much what McCain has been saying.
The word "psychology" is used a lot in Bush's diatribe... he's talking about new alternatives in energy "like drilling for oil and gas here at home"... "artificial timetables" in Iraq even though Iraq wants them... you know the drill (no pun intended)... Bush and McCain are saying the SAME thing.
Obama could simply ask McCain what he disagrees with Bush on with his press conference. McCain will either have to stand united with Bush and the Republican message or he will have to try to wittle his way out of the message.
I can't wait to see what happens today.

This is what he has been doing for years and the media backs off and lets him get away with it. I watched for years waiting for them all to ask follow ups similar to Sam Donaldson style and the only one who came close was David Gregory, who I now see is full of shit and attacks Obama every chance he gets.
Yesterday gregory asked this question about Obama " What does Obama believe?" and other bullshit questions. Now, how many speeches does Obama have to make to explain who he is and what he believes. They know. They always throw out this garbage about, "The people want to know that he is one of them and believes what they believe. Is McCain one of us, Does bush and mccain believe what you believe? What I want is the same questions asked of McCain..

6. Yesterday, I was listening to some rightwing radio.. |
|
and they said something about Hugh Hewitt had some type of thing going around about:
Young obama voters called" How to talk to an Young Obama voter" I don't know if it was a book, news article or meeting but from the way it sounded these people are really desperate, they also have some other type of plan to talk to voters to frighten them.

5. The key soundbite so far... about the free market and gas prices |
|
Bush just mentioned about how the free market is "at work" (as if we should all be proud) when asked about the spiraling gas prices. That is the epitome of just out of touch Bush is...and McCain, who is offering laughable solutions that would be "psychological", should be asked if it's the "free market at work".
It's time to full court press on Bush and McCain and triangulate them so they are attacking each other.
