John McCain thinks rape is funny.
Here's Johnny Mac's idea of comedy genius. His quote:

Did you hear the one about the woman who is attacked on the street by a gorilla, beaten senseless, raped repeatedly and left to die? When she finally regains consciousness and tries to speak, her doctor leans over to hear her sigh contently and to feebly ask, ‘Where is that marvelous ape?’

How can anyone, man or woman, vote for this pig?

1. So did George Carlin, who was revered here.
"Think of Porky Pig raping Elmer Fudd".

3. What's your point?
Are you saying that a comedian who made his career out of offending people and the Republican nominee for President should be judged by the same standard?

12. No. Just saying.
There were probably fifteen threads extolling the virtues of Carlin upon his untimely demise.

It's appropos of nothing, I agree. Just couldn't help but notice it.

4. Gorillas raping women isn't funny--it's misogynistic
and more than a little racist.

11. Yeah....
I heard it told many, many years ago with some slight modifications. It was disgustingly racist, and misogynistic.

6. George Carlin never ran for President.
Not to mention he was talking of fictional cartoon characters not about a woman.

15. Carlin didn't tell jokes
He told truth that was funny. That included a lot of ugly things, but it was all part of the process.
He said all manner of things that insulted me, but I valued the process if not always the product.

McCain was just making a stupid, sexist, moronic, heartless joke with no reason beyond it.

27. Carlin was being deliberately offensive
Carlin used words as weapons. If he told an offensive joke, he was after the laugh but he was also making a point with it (read his books, he explains it in those). McCain wasn't trying to make a point, he was just trying to be funny and that makes all the difference in the world.

That whole Carlin piece was brilliant and not to be compared to that disgusting woman-hater McCain.

...nail the lid down tight on his campaign coffin I would think if there was a video that could be broadcast 24/7

9. It wouldn't be broadcast anywhere
The M$M would see to that. Now if Obama (or Obama's preacher, or Obama's dentist, or a guy who waits tables in a restaurant where Obama eats sometimes) had said something like that...

10. That's an old one....
that should have been buried a long time ago... I'm as far from easily-offended and humorless as humanly possible, but this joke is clearly based on the notion that women "like" to be abused and/or they are "asking" for it. And that, my friends, is some really sick and twisted thinking....

19. That is completely disgusting
Anyone who could find that even remotely funny has a pathology regarding gender roles, violence, sex, and probably a hell of a lot more.

Seriously that is fucking revolting. :puke:

21. While McLoon's "joke" was horrible, maybe something good can come out of it.
It's really an accurate metaphor of how the sheeple think of the Republican party. Think about it.... After what Poppy Bush did to this country, nobody named Bush should have ever been elected to ANY office again. Let alone a son with the same name, and only 1% of the mental capacity.

But somehow the collective memory was short, and while Chimpy did steal the election, the fact that it was close enough to steal in the first place is the real problem.

Now that Chimpy has "raped" the country 100 times worse than his old man, you unbelievably still have people out there saying "Where is that marvelous senile old man who wants to keep raping us"?

Worse yet, you have the PUMA crowd saying "If we don't get our way, we'd rather be raped some more".

Thanks, Grandpa. Your joke was lame, and so are you. But you made a relevant point despite yourself.
