What would you expect from a McCain administration? |
|
Okay, we quiver in fear of this possibility, but perhaps it would be good if we explained why. So, if for reasons best left to the imagination the unthinkable happens, what horrors can we expect for the next four years?
I forsee a worsening situation in Iraq, ongoing stalemate if not outright war with Iran and the continuing implosion of the economy.
And you?

1. Economic disaster yes, Iran invasion, no. |
|
McCain has said he'll continue with Bush's catastrophic ways. Halliburton didn't move to Dubai because they wanted bigger sand traps on their golf courses.
Post-Eisenhower Republicans have traditionally been cowards--they only initiate attacks when they are pretty sure the country they invade won't shoot back (Grenada, Panama). Iraq was a major miscalculation because they started to believe their own bullshit. They really believed their own "welcomed with flowers" story. Self-delusion elevated to a fine art.
The scariest part is that McCain has said he wants more Supreme Court justices like Scalia, Thomas, Roberts and Alito. If THAT is not enough to make your stomach uneasy, you must be one of those people who goes to view a slaughterhouse for the entertainment value.

I'm in the Rheinland, easy access to Holland/Belgium/France, and Berlin/points eastward.

A depression to dwarf anything before it followed by a draft and ending in an invasion of America.
Hows that for nightmare scenarios.

We practically have been already, for that matter. You could practically run Texas on the interest ON THE INTEREST of the dollars China is holding.

Hell budwieser just got sold to a foreign company. We don't own much anymore. What I wonder is how far average Americans will allow themselves to be pushed towards slavery before they start a rebellion that will require outside intervention.

11. Call you and raise you further threats to the American public education system, the beginnings |
|
of the end of Social security, and the complete dismantling of some of the more threatening to the RW amendments to the Constitution.
Oh, yeah--and aggressive recruitment of my 11 year old son for the military. He's got some bad asthma, but I don't really think that'll stop the bums.

After all, it was good enough for those shiftless kids in the 60's, it's good enough for us today. How much education do you actually need to shoot anyway?

I see a person that would be going into office with no knowledge of the actual state of the country or the world. A person living in a different era. A person who's political beliefs are such that they can't possibly deal with the situation they will inherit, because the solutions are politically unacceptable to them.

16. Yeah, I can see dogmatic rigidity in McCain. |
|
Paradoxically I see it coupled with a willingness to say anything to anyone in order to get what he wants. If this sounds familiar, it should, it's the government we've had for the last 8 years.
