2. It's generally pretty easy stuff. I have one suggestion...

If people want to engage negatively about Obama, IMMEDIATELY cut them short in the discussion and put on your happiest face and gleefully say "Have a great day!"

It confuses the hell out of them and besides, they are a waste of time generally...

4. In Ohio I barely got any negative responses
and they are so few and far between the positive ones you don't even really take notice. Just be yourself and engage people, remember that you are the face of the campaign to that person.

7. I don't expect any outright racists in this neighborhood..
but you never know. I would have a difficult time staying civil in that situation, but I'll do my best!

5. I really don't like canvassing but I'm gonna do it on Saturday.
I spend way too much time at DU and I feel I need to do something more productive. But, I'm kinda sensitive and hate getting doors slammed in my face. I did some canvassing for a liberal politician in a very conservative area of Chicago and it was not fun. Hopefully, canvassing for Obama in Iowa will be better.

6. Good Luck! Remember, you aren't just the face of the campaign when you go
knocking on doors. You are the face of American SALVATION after an eight-year GHOUL AGE!!!
