1. My guess: she's never baked biscuits in her life.
Edited on Fri Jul-18-08 12:08 PM by Benhurst
And I doubt if her fellow baby boomer husband has either.

The Pillsbury Dough-boy problably stalks her kitchen like he does those of the rest of us.

20. And even if she did
hubby would not eat them.

It's good to see these important questions being raised though. The op clearly has a sharp focus on key issues for the electorate at this crucial juncture in our history.

14. Actually
Since I'm from San Antonio, I would prefer a good flour tortilla. After seeing Obama's chili recipe, I must admit that I am somewhat concerned about his experience with Tex-Mex. If he gets the 3:00 a.m. telephone call, can I trust him to choose the right salsa, to take the husk off of the tamale before he eats it, or to order his cheese enchiladas with onions on top?

19. Worse Than Beans
<http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2008/03/04/obamas-chili-recipe_n_89826.html>

He puts basil and red wine vinegar in it plus beans. Now do you understand why I seriously question his culinary abilities? Nevertheless, I am a Democrat and will vote for him in November despite this culinary gap in his experience.

Edited on Sat Jul-19-08 12:40 PM by DesertedRose
Heaven help us all if Senator Obama pulls another Jerry Ford on that poor tamale :rofl:

The best salsa is the one you make yourself, baby! :thumbsup: I've gotten pretty good at since I've left SA, and I don't trust anyone's salsa east of the Mississippi....ah, memories of driving past the Pace factory every day....

I am a product of the best of both worlds....southern AND tex-mex

So praise the Lord and pass the LARD flour tortillas, por favor :9 We'll have the biscuits on Sunday before church!

You ain't half bad for a t-sip ;-) GIG 'EM }(
