I went to a Platform Meeting last night and am having a House Meeting @ my house on Saturday...
and tomorrow I am going to register voters at the local state park.

I met a lot of very interesting people last night and am really excited about being a part of this election! According to the Obama organizers this weekend starts the next phase of the campaign. We are making history, folks, and God, do we deserve to be a part of it!

Here we go!!!!

5. It was so empowering...
it was seriously a working meeting and we all had to work together. And yet you could submit a recommendation completely on your own if nobody agreed with you. Our leader was very organized and motivated. She helped us with the language that we chose, she provided the dems platform and Obama's plan and we went through them line by line and decided if we agreed or if we wanted to add something or modify something. She told us to think about the 'castles in the sky' and with that they are going to build the platform. I teared up a couple of times because it just seemed too good to be true.

I hope your experience is as good as mine was!!!

7. I am in Michigan and will be at the Jackson kick off party on Saturday.
Jackson will be an important place this year which is why I couldn't just sit by and watch. I am on the border of Jackson and Washtenaw county so last night I was in Chelsea. It will be interesting to be involved on both sides of the county line.
