Why we all should hope for snowstorms across the country on election day

NBC poll:

Among Obama voters:

Enthusiastic: 44%
Satisfied: 33%
"Lesser of two evils": 22%

Among McCain voters:

Enthusiastic: 14%
Satisfied: 38%
"Lesser of two evils": 47%

Translation: Obama voters will be showing up at the polls come hell or high water. McCain voters will stay home if there's something good on TV that night.

McCain voters will stay at home if they're inconvenienced.

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow.

9. You win the award for the dumbest post of the day.

10. Can't imagine why you say it is "dumb." Cruel, cut-throat, maybe. IF the OP premise was
to maximize Democratic voting and discourage repuke voting (I notice you did not attack that viewpoint), it just makes sense to want different conditions in different areas of the country to maximize the effect.

In blue states, good weather is fine because it will have the same affect on voters for each party, preserving our lead.

In red states, if the McInsane voters are less motivated then Obama ones, then bad weather will hurt their turnout more than ours, bringing those states into play by depressing repuke voting more than Democratic.

I happen top think the opposite is actually true. In bad weather (ever wonder why we have such a restricted voting calendar (one day in November), wealthy repukes simply have their drivers take them to the polls. Brain-dead rethugs are driven to the polls by Gawd in order to save them babies and keep them queers from getting married. Dems have a harder time getting to the polls in bad weather because of lack of transportation and conflicting priorities (bosses not giving people tme off work, run-a-arounds at the polls thru "lost" registrations, etc., lack of voting machines necessitating longer waits and thus, more people leaving the long lines (especially in terrible weather).

As asked in a different thread, can Obama win by taking "the high road"? Maybe, but it would be better to make sure of victory by playing all cards in the campaign hand. With the countless posts about how the race is not really as close as the media are portraying it, I am amazed by the lack of people saying that all tactics and efforts should be taken in this war. People like to complain that "the media are not being fair" or "they are setting up another theft" but NO ONE is willing to fight fire with fire. Taking a (rubber) knife to a gunfight is suicide. But that is the history of the Democratic Party. We never seem to learn the lesson.

EDIT: And not only those people with whom I agree. I'm weird like that.

6. mouth-breathers? Odd term coming from a progressive
Perhaps some are unaware of the various sinus and breathing issues some people have. Where did
this slang come from and is its usage appropriate by the supposedly enlightened?

8. 47% believe McCain is "the lesser of two evils"???
Wow, there's enthusiasm for ya.

That 44% is the activist corps of Obama's voting bloc--the people that work their asses off for him. The 33% satisfied, I would wager, are former Clinton supporters who said they'd vote for either candidate and perhaps Obama's older voters.

The 22%? That's the "one step away from PUMA" bloc.
