Holy moley the denizens of Jim Robinson's FreeRepublic.....
...are in full meltdown. I couldn't decide which moronic thread to choose to illustrate their hysteria over Senator Obama's visit to Germany. I hope some saner family members have removed their large bore handguns, knives and other instruments of self-destruction from their homes because otherwise I think we'll see a sudden spike in the suicide rate after the GE.

12. Now that's a Hell of a thing to wish on God
or in actuality, on Satan, since he's the one who will get stuck with the Freeper trash :evilfrown:

2. I also hope the arms are hidden; but ...
not because of the possibility of suicides.

3. ROFLMAO
Heh heh... I was just lurking over there and they are in full scale nuclear meltdown.

The "Obama speech at the Victory Column in Berlin- LIVE THREAD - SPEECH TEXT at 99" thread is absolutely priceless.

The FReepers even use the term "McLame", how sad is that??

6. You have to understand, Rush wasn't talking about watching the speech on
television. He went out and stood in his back yard and was unable to see the crowd!

8. I think their denial is so sad
I perused the comments, and all I could do is shake my head. They try to mock Obama's speaking style? Hahaha, pathetic, my friends, just pathetic. They're just sad that their candidate sucks and they know they're going to take huge losses.

BTW, I noticed that FR was created in '96. Looks like they haven't updated their website to keep up with new technology. It's just pages of replies, no coherent lay out at all. Figures...

13. Actual FReeper comments
Actual FReeper comments posted on their "live Berlin speech" thread:

"He is going to be sorry for making this speech........"

"That’s the least enthusiastic crowd I’ve ever seen"

"looking at that crowd, they look bored out of their minds"

"not very loud applause from such a large crowd"

"Please, someone, “UNPLUG that teleprompter”!"

"He’s not even hiding his socialism anymore. I’m just amazed that this guy is even running for president of OUR country. I think I’m just going to need to tune out of this whole farce. I’ll vote for McLame in November, but I think my own health and sanity is going to require me to disconnect from this farce."

"We cannot let Obama happen."

And my favorite so far (drum roll, please!)

"Did you notice they fixed the speakers so his voice would reverberate? That was very creepy especially when he was like saying “People of earth”. When he says I love America, I’d love to put a lie detector to that. Hopefully, somebody with a voice detector will run his speech through it."

19. I almost spit my coffee through my nose yesterday morning
after hearing a republican caller on Washington Journal say "he can't even talk, he stutters all the time, I'd like to see him try and speak without the use of his teleprompter". After 8 years of Bush they have the nerve...

22. Let's hope the family members don't remove potential suicide implements.
If any of them are stupid enough to kill themselves over that, we're better off without them.

23. This just shows that the freepers don't care a bit about the best interests of this country.
After eight years of the shrub, we need a president who will repair relations with our allies and talk with countries that are not our allies rather than threaten them or invade them.
