Can we please remember that we haven't won anything yet. |
|
Obama looked great in Berlin today, very presidential, but he's not the president yet. He should be looking presidential, as long as McCain keeps standing in front of cheese and German Fudge Haus' in Ohio while Obama meets with foreign leaders Obama going to have a good November, but he HAS NOT WON YET. McCain's not doing anything in field, which is why we need to saturate it. Obama is looking very presidential right now, which is why we gotta run harder and longer than the other guys. We gotta convince the American people that we're right. We've got the rest of July, August, September, October, that's a LOOOOONNG ass time in campaign life. We're winning the pregame, but the real game starts on Labor Day. It's not always going to be this easy. We have to fight, we have to scratch, we have to claw our way to victory. Obama's looking presidential, but in order for him to actually be the president he needs us, he can't do it all by himself. He's set the bar, now let's rise above it and he WILL be the president come November.

4. it's the general mood of GDP |

everyone's jumping all over themselves today like we've won. it was a glorious day to be sure, but his speech in Berlin didn't automatically give him those pesky 270 electoral votes.

13. No, but he HAS stopped being so cocksure of victory lately, |
|
even if all scenarios of an Obama defeat are still undeniable proof of nothing but racism.
There's a reason why so many of the old-timers around here are either gone or not posting: the triumphalist fatuousness of those who brook no dissent and ignore everything that doesn't reinforce the certainty of their fellow bloviating hopey-changies.
Faith is, after all, at least a kissing cousin of vehemence...
Sadly, a whiff of history makes me wary of posturing "newness", but that's just one of the hazards of being "concerned".

7. I know! I'm a rural county organizer who's organizing a BBQ for Barack recruit Aug. 3rd! |
|
We may not win in this red Republican rural community but at least we can try and win some more votes here and register as many people as we can! I have a good feeling even if we don't win in my county. The votes we get in this county may the ones to replace ones that may be disqualified by those not having an ID or those who have been "conveniently" taken off the rolls. I will be working very hard until November because I remember 2004 and Kerry. I will do my best as I have much more support this time.

Every vote counts. Obama's committal to the 50 state strategy will win him a lot of votes but only if we ourselves go out and get those votes.
