James Carville ....Any thoughts?????

Is there a possibility that James Carville maybe brought in to work with the Kerry/Edwards camp in a prominent position before to long.... Would his experience be of great help to the camp.

Your thoughts now........

1. Would love to see it happen
I am a huge fan of Carville and I think he could be a great offensive bulldog against W.

3. It'd be great: "Are ya fer it or agin it?"
Dems, and especially Kerry, tend to deal in qualified and complex realities (such as the real fucking world) while Republicans use primitive, lowest common denominator simplicity and repeat until the listeners' brains turn to mush. Carville is a force of nature and hits hard and simplistically; he's a man of the people and undeniably "common" in his appeal. The twisted disgust that plays over his face is infectious in its ability to engender revulsion at the greed and monstrousness of the current reactionary swine, yet he's still cheery and downright joyous in his general demeanor. That's magic. Personally, I feel that he and Perot were the stars (for sheer showmanship, that is) of the '92 campaign, and he's just the bird dog needed in what will be an increasingly nasty set-to.

Come on, James, take a hiatus from that CNN place, and shine, baby, shine!

6. Carville's wife will never let
him work on Kerry's campaign. She'll threaten to divorce him and never let him see his children again.

7. He better, they need him BAD
He's a bloody genius at what he does, and I see no reason why the Kerry/Edwards team shouldn't use every asset at their disposal.

8. Carville pissed me off during the convention
He apparently treated the Red Sox announcers Sean McDonough and Jery Remy like crap, while CNN was broadcasting from Fenway.

13. James Carville
Is a good man. To judge him by his wife is beyond ludicrous. He loves his wife and children, but will never let her politics stop him from doing what is right. He cannot work for campaigns anymore because he becomes the issue instead of the candidate. His job is to rally the base.

14. We can't afford him....He and Mary Matlin have become capitalists...
And one stays home to watch the kids and writes a book while the other campaigns for their favorite candidate. It's Mary's time to be on the campaign trail right now. James is home with the kids. Sorry. They have a scam going which I refuse to fall for. James had his fifteen minutes. If the best he can do is come on Crossfire and scream for a few minutes, that is not enough. If he cannot get interested or involved in this election, he will never be interested again. Sorry to disappoint all the Carville fans.

15. you really
have no idea about how their household is set up. He does not stay home with the kids. He goes off making speeches to Democratic groups and writes books to fire up the base. He's plenty fired up. He's a political hot potato and that's why he doesn't work on Presidential campaigns.

its first hand knowledge. One of my former employees went on to work for him. By the way, he's very close to Kerry and does serve as an advisor.

19. No, I don't dislike James for loving his kids....
I dislike that witch he is married to and I dislike the way Mary seems to get to campaign at the most critical times and James writes books, coincidentally perhaps, at those identical times. He will be back for the 2006 elections and Mary will be home writing her book. That's the way I see it. I think hey are both using the system to their advantage and they don't really give a shit who wins. That's just my opinion.

22. You're wrong
Saying he doesn't care? That's wrong. He cares a lot. But their arrangement seems fair, given the circumstance. Should we now only marry fellow Democrats? My wife and I don't agree on a LOT of issues...oddly enough, a few in both directions, I'm generally more conservative but not always. That stuff can't so totally dominate your life that you throw your family away in order to go support your guy for president.
And Carville's books are contributing a lot to the cause, too. I know it didn't sell much (the guys on the right have talk radio to shill for thier books 24 hours a day) but "Stickin'" is one of the best books I ever read and a heck of an effective tool for arguing our points and, hopefully, winning some votes.

I think this is a very important election and Carville could be doing much more....I don't think he is an asset on Crossfire or television in general...
