"Barack Obama will give a speech on the economy in Cedar Rapids"Cedar Rapids, Iowa – On Thursday, Senator Barack Obama will host a town hall meeting on the economy in Cedar Rapids. He will also meet with Cedar Rapids residents who were effected by the floods.
“Senator Obama is looking forward to returning to Iowa this Thursday and talking to Iowans about the challenges they face and his plans for change. Iowa is clearly a special place for Senator Obama, and it is important to him to speak directly to Iowans affected by the flood, as well as discuss his plan to get our economy back on track,” said Obama Iowa State Director Jackie Norris. “Iowa played a crucial role in Senator Obama’s success in the past and Iowans from all backgrounds are joining together to help deliver Iowa for Senator Obama in November.”
