Obama blasts GOP economic policy as `reckless'
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080730/ap_on_el_pr/obama

Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama says he's offering fundamental change from what he calls "reckless" Republican economic policies that have hammered middle-class families.

The Illinois senator says his rival John McCain plans to stay on the economic course charted by President Bush.

Obama was speaking to thousands jammed into a high school gymnasium in Springfield, Mo., the first stop on a bus tour devoted to discussing economic security.

Obama says he's offering voters the chance in November to reclaim the idea that opportunity in this country is open to anyone who's willing to work for it. By contrast, he says McCain thinks we're on the right track even though economic anxieties grow daily.
