I can't wait until "Chicken Little" debates John Kerry |
|
Edited on Mon Aug-23-04 03:15 PM by Bushneedstogo
"Chicken Little" will look like a deer caught in headlights when he debates Kerry.
I want 3 debates and I don't think that the right wing pundits should be the moderator.
1st question should be
"How did you serve your country during the Viet Nam War"?

1. The moderators have already been picked. |
|
They will be Jim Lehrer, Charles Gibson and Bob Scheiffer. The VP debate moderator is Gwen Ifill.

8. Poor choice of moderators |
|
Jim Leher never asks the hard questions nor does he follow up on obvious misstatements and lies the candidates put out. Gwen Ifill is truly lame and another one with no follow through. Bob Gibson is in my mind conservative. Bob Schieffer in the words of Mother Jones is the worst one of all. He goes golfing with * and said it is hard to grill someone when you have a personal relationship with that person. Bill Moyers should be moderating the debates.

4. I think that we should requests Q-Tips before the debate |
|
We need to request that Chicken Little clean his ears out prior to the debates to make sure he isn't wearing a device or a microphone in it.

5. earpiece? that's going to have to be kerry firing a broadside. |
|
look for that challenge a week prior to debate 1.
don't expect much out of the debates. there won't be tough questions - charles gibson? if * comes unhinged there will be plenty of gore-like 'kerry is picking on *' sympathy in the 'liberal media'.

Thats the same thing we said about Gore. The media will set the expectations for Kerry very high and Bush will look good by just showing up.

7. I am not enthusiastic, being somwhat of a cynic today |
|
because of the outrage I feel over the Bush swift boat liars
I don't really think these debates are going to be anywhere near authentic at all.
Given the record of Bush and his ability to shed anything that points to his inadequacy as a president and as a man, I think the same type of Orwellian nonsense will go on here.
No one will ask the hard questions--it will be pre taped and objections to Kerry's answers will be heard and the media will bend over again and again to make it look as if Bush is the articulate statesman personified when he makes gaffs. I think they will annoint him winner without cause and it will stick with the people.
I know it is negative, but givien the frustration with the events, the many of them for the past three years, I put little faith in this as being something authentic duelup. It will be staged by Bush and his intimidators naturally. He will memorize the answers naturally as the questions will be known beforehand.
Not saying Kerry will be intimidated. He won't. The media will be.
