1. The fluff stuff is irrelevant - but Obama needs to expose policy gimmicks in strong, clear ads.

4. Why do negative attacks work? Because people prefer to vote
against rather than for--most people are skeptical and suspicious of politicians, and negative attacks affirm what they might be feeling. Give someone a reason to vote against, and they'll take it. Obama is black, he's rumored to be a Muslim, he's new--those are three big reasons for people to vote against him right off the bat, so he starts with a disadvantage--yet no one really wants to vote FOR McCrazy. Obama must stay largely positive, but there's no reason a concerted Dem/527 effort can't blast away at the drooling incontinent brain-addled fucker. Give people a reason to vote AGAINST McCain, and they'll take it.

10. Seriously -- it's as though a light went on in my head.
When you ask people why they are going to vote for McCain, it's not FOR anything he's done or is promising to do, they'll list why they DON'T want Obama. Voting against.

From your keyboard to the Obama campaign's ear. Or something.

5. Point out history
Point out that "uppity Negro" is no longer in style, no longer a valid objection, no matter what adjective you replace for uppity and how carefully you replace "Negro". Once you reduce their attack to the "uppity Negro" attack, it loses any objectivity.

9. here:
A few hours ago John McCain, the same man who just months ago promised to run a "respectful campaign," said he is "proud" of his latest attack ad.

That's the one attacking your enthusiasm, comparing me to Paris Hilton and Britney Spears, and making false claims about my energy plan.

Now, we're facing some serious challenges in this country -- our economy is struggling, energy costs are skyrocketing, and families don't have health care.

Given the seriousness of these issues, you'd think we'd be having a serious debate. But instead, John McCain is running an expensive, negative campaign against us. Each day brings a desperate new set of attacks.

And they're not just attacking me. They're attacking you.

They're mocking the desire of millions of Americans to step up and take ownership of the political process.

They're trying to convince you that your enthusiasm won't amount to anything -- that the people you persuade, the phone calls you make, the donations you give, the doors you knock on are all an illusion. They believe that in this election the same old smears and negative attacks will prevail again.

They're wrong.

And right now, we have a few hours left to prove them wrong in a very concrete way.

Make a donation of $5 or more before the July fundraising deadline at midnight tonight.

Show the strength of our movement for change.

Thank you,

Barack

11. Once He Gets the Atttention of a Large Audience
he should make fun of them a la The Daily Show. Have some people spend serious hours on coming up with the weirdest montage and the funniest one-liners to quizzically make fun of them.

15. Run ads that severely criticize McNasty's policies & end
with a few positives Sen. Obama's policies.

Include McNasty huggin' on Busholini.

John McCain embraces GW Bush & his failed policies.

The short list

Iraq,

Top end tax cuts

Privatization of Social Security

Unraveling employer based health care,

Cuban embargo.

Illegal Spying on Americans

Busholini Policy of Torture

Against new GI Bill

Offshore oil drilling

Denying Habeous Corpus
