Hillary Clinton, Michelle Obama to attend Emily's List gala DNC week

Speculation has run rampant about whether Sen. Hillary Clinton will nab a key speaking slot during the Democratic National Convention in Denver.

Officials with the Democratic National Convention Committee are mum, saying the speaker schedule won't be announced for another two weeks, but EMILY's List announced today that Clinton and Michelle Obama will be at the group's gala reception Aug. 26 at 2 p.m. Also on the bill is Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi.

The event will be held on the 88th anniversary of women's suffrage and will also draw attention to Democratic women. Clinton made a historic run for the party's nomination and was edged out by Obama when the last primary happened in June.

EMILY's List is a non-profit group dedicated to electing pro-choice women to office. The event is at the Sheraton Denver Hotel.

2. It means nothing.
The only thing that Nancy Pelosi hasn't done yet to Hillary is spit in her face.

4. Oh, please.
The primaries are over. Somebody had to win, somebody had to lose. Get over it!

5. And as Speaker of the House,
Nancy should have at least pretended to be neutral. If I hear that woman say one more time (as she said it again this week for the 5th or 6th time in as many weeks) that there won't be a unity ticket, I'm personally going to go to DC to smack her in her overstretched face!!

3. Emilys list bashed Obama during the primaries.
I still have one of the negative mailers they sent out. Michelle Obama should tell them to shit in their hat. They are not on her side.

6. If this event gets decent media coverage, Obama will get a slight boost.
Michelle and Hillary know how to play it.
