Negative ads and the McCain campaign |
|
Edited on Fri Aug-01-08 05:38 PM by madaboutharry
Maybe I just want to give people the benefit of the doubt and believe that the crap coming out of the McCain campaign will backfire. Maybe I need to believe that the public is sick and tired of snarky ass republicans like Rick Davis.
Now, my mom just called me up all upset that the people on Hardball are talking like McCain is now going to win the election. Please someone tell me that this shit isn't going down like this.

1. 95 days before the election. |
|
The only impact this will have is to reduce McCain's favorability ratings in a long run....and last I checked 95 days is quite a long time in political time.

2. McCain's Ads == $$$$$ for Obama |
|
Check the numbers yourself. More than 30,000 new donors gave to Obama's campaign yesterday.
The nastier McCain gets, the more fervent Obama's donations get. The media is weaving a tale, 95 days from the election.
I will keep saying this: When the media and McCain realize that McCain has in essence set up a huge cash register for Obama with each new negative ad, their tone is going to change.

4. I don't see how the McCain idiots think they can sustain this strategy for the next 90 days |
|
They're using short term dirty tactics that one usually uses in the last couple of weeks of a campaign, not now.
Unlike the Swiftboaters, McCain is directly making the attacks and the attacks aren't based on past actions or anything of substance so I'm truly at a loss as to what they expect to do for the next 3 months. It's not like he can turn around and claim he wants to talk seriously about the issues at this point...not without the country laughing at him.
Is he going to bring this crybaby, shit slinging strategy with him to the debates? For our sake, I hope so.
