SEE THE REPLIES BELOW. THIS HAS BEEN DEBUNKED.

Food For Thought: Website Suggests Obama-Bayh Ticket

I’m also heading out of town, but here’s a nugget you can chew on for the rest of the day…

ABCnews.com just posted this very veepy blog entry:

ABC News’ Matt Jaffe and Rick Klein report: Type ObamaBayh08.com into your web browser. Where do you think it’ll take you? Go ahead, do it.

Bet you didn’t expect to suddenly be staring at the Democratic National Committee’s official website.

Hmm. What about other potential running mates? Let’s try ObamaKaine08.com. Nope, doesn’t take you to the DNC site.

Maybe ObamaBiden08.com? Nothing doing.

ObamaSebelius08.com? Strike three.

So, in the midst of the current vice-presidential speculation, is it possible that we may have just stumbled upon a clue that Barack Obama’s eventual Democratic running mate in 2008 will be none other than Indiana Sen. Evan Bayh?

So I tried it...

As I've posted elsewhere, Obama is going to Indiana Tuesday evening, not leaving till Wednesday afternoon. He does have a town hall scheduled at a high school in Elkhart,

http://www.theindychannel.com/news/17072711/detail.html

but that leaves a lot of free time.

3. Interesting, but NOT good for party unity.

8. Bullshit.
I'm so goddamn sick of "party unity" being used by clintonites as a code word for "pick hillary or we're going to hold the democratic party hostage". Obama is winning dems right no 80-11, with 9 undecided. Kerry won dems 88-11-1 in 2004. Obama does not need to pander to PUMAs for "party unity". At least that kind of "party unity".

2. I've already seen this debunked.
Some guy bought it and redirected it to the DNC website.

DNC doesn't own it.

4. So?
Anybody can direct their website wherever they wish. You don't need permission. It doesn't necessarily mean anything. (Also, I doubt they'd leak the announcement like that. Give the Obama team more credit for stagecraft.)

6. I don't think this has any connection to Obama though. The other's were probably
already taken. I don't think this means much.
